Reordering Elements
When there are multiple elements on a page, sometimes the order in which elements are drawn can become displeasing—a balloon is drawn behind a caption, for example, and you would prefer it to be in front. To change the order, select the element or elements you want to reorder and use the Arrange menu:
- To move an element all the way to the front use Arrange->Bring Front.
- To move an element forward a bit use Arrange->Bring Forward. Note that you may need to apply this multiple times to get the element to the right position as it is compared to the order of all the elements on the page, not just the one that appears to be in front.
- To move an element backward a bit use Arrange->Send Backward. Note that you may need to apply this multiple times to get the element to the right position as it is compared to the order of all the elements on the page, not just the one that appears to be behind.
- To move an element all the way to the back use Arrange->Send Back.
Note: Panels are always drawn first on the page so other elements cannot be arranged to be behind panels.
