Drawing Shapes

Comic Life provides a freeform drawing tool for creating unique shapes for your comic. To start drawing a shape choose Insert->Shape->Draw a Shape from the menu.

Once your cursor is over the page it will change to a pen nib indicating that the program is waiting to begin your shape. To draw your shape, simply click to add points:

Tip: To add a curve rather than a straight line, click to add your point as usual but immediately drag the mouse:

This causes Bézier curve handles to appear. Dragging lets you adjust the size and shape of the curve, though you can go back later and adjust it some more (see Editing Shapes for more information).

To finish your shape, either click on the first point to create a "closed" shape, or double click to create an open shape:

Tip: Unfilled open shapes are a great way to add lines to your comic page:
